Workshops and Tutorials

We invite scholars to submit their proposal to organize workshops and tutorials during the conference. Please send your proposal to aims7@aims-international.org by September 30, 2009.

 

What is a Workshop?

A workshop is a 75-90 minute long session conducted by a scholar in which he/she will engage participants on a business/management topic that can help them become better teachers and researchers. For example, a workshop could be on how to effectively use cases for teaching, how to publish in journals, how to write a research proposal, How to design online courses, etc.

 

What is a Tutorial?

A tutorial is a 75-90 minute long session conducted by a scholars in which he/she will provide latest knowledge and information on a cutting edge topic of his/her expertise. The benefit to the participants will be learning of new knowledge not available in the standard textbooks. Some of the previously conducted tutorials are: Modeling approaches for the multistage warehouse location problem, benchmarking using DEA, Structural equation modeling, Petri Nets, etc.

 

Those who wish to conduct a workshop or tutorial will be required to register for the conference like other conference participants.
