Workshops and Tutorials

We invite scholars to submit their proposal for workshops and tutorials during the conference. Please send your proposal to aims11@aims-international.org by September 30, 2013. Presenters of workshops and tutorials will be required to register for the conference.

 

What is a Workshop?

A workshop is a 75-90 minute long session conducted by a  scholar in which he/she will engage participants on any issue of management or technology that can help the become better teachers and researchers. For example, a workshop could be on how to effectively use cases for teaching, how to publish in journals, how to write a research proposal, How to do design online courses, etc.

 

What is a Tutorial?

A tutorial is a 75-90 minute long session conducted by a scholars in which he/she will provide latest knowledge and information on a cutting edge topic in his/her research area. The benefit to the participants will be that they will take up new knowledge not ordinarily found in standard textbooks. Some of the previously conducted tutorials are: Modeling approaches for the multistage warehouse location problem, benchmarking using DEA, Structural equation modeling, Petri Nets, etc.
